This is NOT one of those unreliable String-Openers that fail after a little while. Besides that, String openers are by nature absolutely not predator proof.
Our openers come with a linear actuator with full metal gears inside the gearbox. You can install them any way you want…horizontally, vertically etc. They work on sliding doors as well as on hinged doors.
For hinged doors, however, you need to have sufficient wall space next to the hinges available for installation. If your door/hinges are located at the very left or right edge of your coop this kit won’t work without additional altering of your coop.
Please choose the right length for your specific application. Returns are a hassle for everyone involved.

use a stop. The actuator must be able to extend/retract its entire stroke.
