    OPERATION
This model is an accurate replica of the massive original locomotive, but despite its size, the model will negotiate "R1" curves (11000). However, this combination of features requires some special considerations:
    - For more realistic and reliable operation, use "R2" (15000) and "R3" (16000) curves.
    - In curves, the cab and front pilot swing out (Fig. 1). Make sure that your layout has the necessary clearances before you operate the model. When operating on R1 curves, you need approximately 120 mm (4.7 in) of clearance.
    - In sharp curves, the model will slow down.
    - Operation may be unreliable on uneven track.
    - Operation may be unreliable on 12260 Electric Double-Slip Switches.
    - Handle this special model with special care. Its metal parts can be damaged. It is not weather resistant.
    - This model is equipped with a decoder, the digital/analog DIP switches on the loco circuit board must be set to OFF. The DIP switches should remain in this setting, even if the model is used on an analog layout.
