    Description

    This is a fine World War I German 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class that is in excellent condition. It is a completely flat issue piece with a nice stove black, magnetic iron center and a beautifully age toned silver frame. The raised, serrated bead on the frame is very well defined and with crisp detail. The reverse is with functional pin and catch assemblies. The pin assembly is marked “800” and of the classic World War I type manufacture. There is no separation at the seam or any other problems with this cross. It remains an attractive example in excellent, undamaged condition.
